Over the years I have been involved in the insurance industry many different ways. My introduction began as a medical claims processor for multiple companies. Processing claims and coordinating benefits between multiple coverages or working as a secondary coverage for the retirees whose Medicare was primary. Then I became an agent and have worked to educate people on their coverage and how best to protect themselves. I was licensed in multiple states and for several years worked as a specialist for my company helping people with their life insurance and Annuity needs. Eventually, I decided to direct my time and focus in the direction of healthcare coverage.

My husband’s personal need for Medicare was the driving force to me moving in that direction. When he turned 65 I got a firsthand look at the confusion surrounding the plans and options available for coverage. My mission was to make coverage choices easier and empower clients to feel comfortable with the choices they made. 

This was good, but I had spouses of my clients not yet 65 and needing healthcare too. Health insurance can be overwhelming when trying to determine coverage levels and terminology. So the next logical step was to be able to assist with the healthcare needs of those under 65 as well.

Medicare and Healthcare are truly journeys and I see myself as a guide to enlighten the path and help you choose coverage that fits your needs and lifestyle in the best possible way.

The part that I've always enjoyed most was the education and empowerment of my clients to make coverage choices that were best for them. To strengthen that education, our website is full of information and I also offer Medicare 101 classes, a Medicare Analysis, a Health Insurance Analysis and a monthly newsletter. And the most important thing that I offer is time. I want to get to know you and I want you to know me. Trust and understanding are the two most important things to move forward.

To give you a little sneak peek of who I am, I'll let you know that I absolutely adore spending time with my family. Being a parent was a bit of work, but being a grandma, “Meemaw”, is all fun. I also enjoy puzzles, a good book and absolutely love singing karaoke.
